The building's decor is a splendid blend of Gothic and whimsical elements, filled with fascinating artefacts that spark curiosity. Breakfast offers a substantial variety, ensuring everyone—from vegans to meat lovers—finds something delicious, all set in a grand dining room boasting ornate carved furniture.
Having no private parking created a bit of a hassle, as finding street parking nearby proved tricky at times, especially during busy hours. Although the shared areas, like the lounge and kitchen, are well decorated, they can feel somewhat crowded during peak times, which might not suit those looking for more solitude. while the lighting in the rooms enhances the ambiance, it can be a bit dim for those needing brighter conditions for various activities.

A Magical Stay That Feels Like Home
I recently enjoyed a delightful stay where every corner of the establishment was filled with unique curios and charming decor. The breakfast was exceptional, featuring hot pastries and generous portions of a full English, all while sitting at a stunning communal table that fostered connections with fellow guests. The owner, Tony, made us feel right at home with his warm hospitality, and the view from our room overlooking the Abbey added an enchanting touch to our experience. If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be better signage for the entrance, as it was a bit confusing to find.

We had an amazing stay with our two kids, and the owner even took time to show us around after our late arrival. The breakfast spread was top-notch, and our girls loved playing in the garden. While the bathroom was just across the hall, it didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment—definitely bring a book for the cozy lounge! 😊
